Simpson MegaShot 2800 Power Washer Review

Recently, I bought the Simpson MegaShot 2800 PSI 2.3 GPM Gas Pressure Washer Powered by HONDA GCV160. It is gas based model used for the residential purposes. Powered with the Honda GCV160 OHC residential engine provides it an easy start and quiet operation.

When I purchased this Simpson pressure washer it came with included with the engine oil. I mostly bought this equipment for cleaning my driveway, patio, and paint prepping.

I found this power washer well advanced when I compare with my earlier Briggs and Straton pressure washer. The earlier one recently broke and I had to purchase a new one. I had paid almost the same price for both. But this works better.

Features of the Simpson power washer

This great pressure washer uses OEM technology for efficient operation. Also, the company specifies about the use of Power boost technology in the axial cam pump. This provides a greater performance with controlled noise and vibration.

The Honda gcv160 pressure washer keeps the heat production minimal. The welded frame construction used in the power washer extends the durability and flexible maneuverability. The hose of the pressure washer is poly-braided and abrasion resistant. This helps in preventing the deposits of salts and scuff marks.

The premium spray wand comes with 5 stainless steel nozzles with tips of 40, 25, 15, 0 degree outlets. Also a soap applicator is included which I find very useful while doing dirty cleaning work. This gets even easier with the detergent siphoning tube fixed with the power washer detergent. The spray gun is ergonomic and comfortable. Also a safety lock is provided to avoid accidental activation of the spray gun.

Finally, the equipment has storage places to keep the high pressure hose, storage wand and nozzles intact.

Usability

simpson pressure washer reviewThe striking benefit of this excellent pressure washer is its start ability. Even a twelve year old girl can easily start this one with a single pull. So the required force for starting this 2800 PSI pressure washer is way lesser than the previous one that demanded 3 to 4 pulls.

Added with this, the power delivered by this washer is outstanding, larger power at a greater efficiency. Until now I didn’t find any necessity for maintenance, just refilled my gas and later may require changing the engine oil.

The equipment is portable and can be storage and carried easily between places.

Cons

While buying not everything was fine. I faced the difficulties when the product was delivered with missing parts. After I read through the reviews I can see this has happened with a lot of customers. Some received their product with missing hose and I got it without a handle.

So I had to call the customer care and order it again. Well honestly customer support is not up to the mark. I tried calling them for 3 to 4 times but was not in service all the time.

Finally when I got a connection I was kept on hold for about 10 minutes unattended. After going through these hurdles I got the handle and it worked fine. So the primary thing that you need to do is, check your shipment for all the parts in the package.

Other than that this product gets a five star.
